B. 1972 in Ontario, Canada. No formal training. My mother was a still life painter. I first learned to draw by sketching the work of the great classic Hollywood photographers George Hurrell, CLarence Bull and Edward Steichen. Their images of icy art deco goddesses profoundly influenced me. That sort of dramatic lighting and enigmatic pansexuality is sunbaked into the visual themes of my work. I began exhibiting in 2010 and my girls have since made their way through galleries on three continents.
